Driessen launched its new Light & Reliable cargo equipment line on 9 October at Inter Airport Munich. The exhibited new composite container offers three major advantages: 15 kg weight reduction, 50-30% reduction in maintenance expenses and it is Environmentally Friendly.

“Our new container is made of strong and environmentally friendly composite materials”, said Marc Witteveen, Sales and Marketing Director of Driessen Air Cargo Equipment. “The composites materials we use are recyclable. Producing composite materials consumes less energy than aluminum and thanks to our environment-friendly production methods CO2 emissions are low”. The lower weight of the containers can help the operator’s efforts in reducing its CO2 and NOX emissions.

Driessen’s new AKE container weighs 65 kg, which is approximately 15 kilos lighter than its standard aluminum counterpart.
