Safety Manager (Centre)

The S.H.E Manager will have a job description as follows:

Responsibility
To manage SHE activities with the objective of ensuring company’s compliance to relevant local SHE standards and regulations. To drive continuous improvements projects that improve SHE mindset and behavior and continuously reduce risks. To oversee waste/scrap management and overseeing company’s fire safety operations.

Authority
The SHE Manager reports to the Managing Director Driessen Thailand and works closely with the Safety Committee. The SHE manager has two direct reports: the Safety Officer at Professional Level who takes day to day responsibility for Safety; the nurse, who takes responsibility for Health; the Management representative for environmental matters (ISO14001) has an indirect reporting line to the SHE Manager.

Detailed Job related duties
1. Process Safety/Health Management: Direct and assist in the evaluation of processes/activities and from the evaluation, recommend measures to reduce SHE risks and improve worker satisfaction.
2. Environmental Monitoring: Maintain an active program to monitor and reduce environmental impact as a result of Driessen operations
3. Mechanical Improvement: Liaise with Maintenance and Plant Managers to propose engineering changes to equipment in order to achieve automation, reduce SHE risks and improve ergonomics.
4. SHE procedures: Liaise with various departments to maintain/ come up with appropriate SHE procedures according to any changes in corporate and local S.H.E. regulations & standards.
5. SHE training: Arrange / conduct training of staff in SHE aspects in order to raise knowledge and awareness to prevent accidents.
6. SHE reporting: Compile monthly SHE reports for the purpose of updating management.
7. Waste/Scrap Management: Assist in the evaluation and analyzing of waste/scrap management and recommend action plan to reduce, reuse or/and recycle wastes.
8. Fire Safety Management: Manage the fire safety management system and regularly test Driessen’s responsiveness

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
- At least 5 years of experience in similar role in Manufacturing Industry
- Registered Safety Officer, certified by Dept of Labor Protection and Welfare.....
- Knowledge of ISO14001, OSHA18001, Safety Management Systems, Local regulatory requirements.
- Good communication skills of English both spoken and written
